Any questions?ĭo you have any questions about using the Touch Bar to access tools in FaceTime? Let me know and I'll help you out. The toolbar, also called bar or standard toolbar, is a row of buttons, often near the top of an application window, that controls software functions. But, the FaceTime app on the Mac doesn't have a lot of options, anyway. I feel like the Touch Bar could be better utilized with some additional tools and customizable features. How to customize the Touch Bar for FaceTime You don't have to move your cursor up to the FaceTime window and scrambled to end the call if you've accidentally initiated a FaceTime call with someone (which I've been known to do). My favorite tool is the ability to end the call with just a tap. Then, adjust the digital ruler and with your pen (or finger, if you click on the touch writing icon) to draw sharp lines along the edge. Available as freeware, the program downloaded and installed quickly. Head to the sketchpad or screen sketch within the Windows Ink Workspace and click on the ruler icon in the upper right-hand corner of the toolbar. If you need to adjust the volume, tap the Control Strip to access audio controls and increase or decrease the volume. BetterTouchTool for Mac allows users to customize the trackpad operation for their whole system or individual applications. You can also enter full-screen mode, end the call, and mute your audio with just a tap on the Touch bar. Check the running time directly under the contact's name. While on a FaceTime call, you can quickly see how long you've been chatting.
